Beyond the Barrier

The world is full of many mysteries. These mysteries have confounded me since I was young, and I sought the answers, but was never able to find them. The human race as a whole is plagued with this issue, and it is the duty of scientists to uncover the mysteries of the universe, and bring clarity to the human race, so that we can progress as a species.
As a naturally curious person, I realized very quickly that a career in science was the place for me. I never really had an interest in it when I lived in Costa Rica, but the transition to the United States found me enveloped in a world of scientific curiosities. I realized that I was good at it, and I had the right brain for the subject. I realized how my curiosity would know no satisfaction until I was in a  lab doing research and discovering more and more about the universe.
It has been clear to me for some time that I should be a research scientist or a biomedical engineer. Each profession would allow me to help further the human races knowledge, and help the people around me in one way or another. I could spend my days in a lab researching or developing medical products. I could experiment, learn, advance in the scientific community, and make discoveries. I can't imagine myself happier anywhere else, but in a place where I am practicing science, and sating my endless curiosity.
